Police have arrested and named the man accused of the horrific assault at the Lapu Lapu Day festival in Vancouver, British Columbia. His name is Kai-Ji Adam Lo — Adam for short. As the festival started to wind down, about 8 p.m., panic took hold. According to authorities, Lo careened his black SUV directly into a crowd of hundreds.
The victims of this horrific event are between the ages of 5 and 65 years old. The youngest victim, only 5 years old, emphasizes the tragic toll of the attack. In reality, people on the scene voiced their witness account with deep surprise and cynicism.

Lo, who was arrested at the scene by U.S. marshals, has a history of criminal activity. Police and mental health care professionals had already handled him well before the attack. He had a well-documented history of mental health crises. Since Lo released her story, a family member frantically called the hospital psych ward, trying to ensure that no harm would come to Lo. This heartbreaking request was made mere hours before the disaster occurred.
Kai-Ji Adam Lo is currently awaiting trial on eight counts of second-degree murder. As the initial charge assessment moves forward, more charges are expected. Yet Lo’s personal tragedy recently entered the public record. His brother Alexander was stabbed to death on January 28 of this year. This tragic incident has led to significant new developments.
