Star-Studded Gatherings Illuminate Washington DC Despite Torrential Downpour

It’s hard to convey the energy that was fueling Washington, DC on Friday night. These high-profile galas lured celebrities, politicians and cultural insiders from across the globe to the city. One of the most recognizable in attendance was Bill Nye, who went on to be one of the key stars at many of these convenings. The evening featured special presentations from the likes of Jason Isaacs, Kevin O’Leary, and other surprise heavy-hitters. So even due to a flash flood that sent everyone around us running for shelter, the parties raged on throughout the city.

the Friday night social scene, driven by gala events sponsored by the big name players of media and entertainment. Jason Isaacs made an appearance at UTA’s late-night bash held at Osteria Mozza, where he mingled with fellow actors Michael Chiklis and Dean Norris. Isaacs is so popular that even political reporter Dana Bash, a big admirer of Isaacs’s work, seized the moment to get photos with “The White Lotus” star.

At the same time, CAA confab party-goers were entertained by the likes of Kevin O’Leary, Cecilia Vega, Tom Cibrowski and Alan Berger. Bryan Lourd and Roger Lynch at the Conde Nast and CAA party, which was a highlight of the week. Spotted at all of the above events were Vladimir Duthiers, Alex Marquardt, Alex Katz and Jessica Dean.

In addition to these gatherings, Bill de Blasio was spotted in conversation with Nomiki Konst at another of the evening’s parties. One notable attendee from the Georgetown bash was Ryan Hayden and Marc Paskin, co-heads of their agency’s news division.

Other parties were hosted by the Qatar embassy, Crooked Media, the Creative Coalition, Brunswick Group and the Daily Mail. Even with serious rain making for a mad dash to find transportation, these events didn’t lose their energy.

Saturday saw Jason Isaacs attending the White House Correspondents’ Dinner, an event known for attracting a celebrity-studded crowd in past years, including Scarlett Johansson, George Clooney, Charlize Theron, Lupita Nyong’o, Viola Davis, Bradley Cooper, Kim Kardashian, and Natalie Portman.
