Check out Pizza Hut’s new creation—Pizza Caviar! You can taste this one-of-a-kind creation at their franchise outpost at 932 Eighth Ave, E, from Thursday, April 10 to Saturday, April 12. This experimental creation dares to mix the essence of pizza with that of caviar. It’s meant to dazzle and delight food lovers, surprising them from the first moment.
The edible orbs of the Pizza Caviar shock guests with their umami flavor, as one would not expect such a concentrated savory flavor from such tiny morsels. The faux fish roe adds a surprising touch to the home of the Personal Pan Pizza. This out-of-the-ordinary topping is constructed out of pepperoni-flavored water and agar-agar. Agar-agar, a gelatin derived from certain species of red algae, is commonly used in vegan Jello molds, adding to the unique texture of this dish.
Global Innovation Chef Alex Yeatts created the Pizza Caviar as an innovative answer to some of today’s food trends. He added that this dish helps people who wouldn’t normally be able to eat pepperoni experience it. “People who can’t normally eat pepperoni can experience it,” said Yeatts.
The Pizza Caviar Bump Box includes one tasty Personal Pan Pizza. You’ll get to pick between three unsauced boneless wings or fries, a great way to spotlight this new craveable topping! Diners can enjoy the pearls au natural by spooning a few onto their plates. For those lucky enough to sample the pearls, they pop against the tongue like miniaturized, salted bubble tea pearls, both a textural and gustatory experience that stands out.
Not only is Pizza Caviar an unusual pizza topping, it includes chicken fried to a crisp studded with faux fish-freckles. This element conjures up a budget-friendly approach to the $28 caviar chicken nugget served at Coqodaq. The fried chicken adds an extra dash of umami to the fries in the Bump Box, making it a multifaceted meal option.
Yeatts shared the eye-popping cost of this playful dish. He calculated that 24 lbs of the fake production would’ve fetched about $200,000 wholesale — if they were the real deal fish eggs. That jaw dropping number really just shows how accessible Pizza Hut’s groundbreaking take on one of the biggest food trends.
“We saw an opportunity to take one of today’s biggest food trends and make it our own,” said Friebe, highlighting the brand’s commitment to creativity in its menu offerings. Pizza Hut’s Pizza Caviar serves as an example of how traditional fast-food chains can adapt to changing consumer tastes and preferences.
This special, limited-time, availability creates buzz among thrill-seeking consumers. It’s a fun dish to make for those who want a grown-up flair to comfort food flavors. Pizza Caviar’s unique blend of pepperoni orbs and traditional pizza tropes might just change the way guests think of toppings.
