Patricia Clarkson recently revisited her memorable experience with Justin Timberlake during an episode of “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen,” where she humorously described the pop star as “gifted below the waist.” Clarkson’s remarks surfaced years after she and her co-star Mila Kunis first appeared together in the movie Black Swan. Timberlake is still a pretty big deal in popular culture. He is perhaps best known for his #1 single “SexyBack,” a chart topper that he released in 2006. His controversial – and often combative – appeal proves impossible to ignore. Clarkson’s remarks add an unexpected new wrinkle to the already complicated ongoing discussion around his possible legacy as a place-making, inclusive, and exciting entertainer.

Fictional, maybe, but creating this character with Timberlake decidedly shaped Clarkson in a very real way. The ones whom they made memories with themselves strongly reverberate, both in their personal lives and on screen.
