The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has classified this recall as class 2, indicating a significant risk level. Consumers who have purchased the affected product are advised to stop using it immediately.
The recall affects 14-ounce jars of First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream, colloidal oatmeal 0.5%, specifically with a Coconut Vanilla scent. These products were exclusively available for purchase on the First Aid Beauty's website. According to the company, all customers who bought the impacted cream have been contacted and provided with replacements.
The affected batch carries the lot code 24D44 with an expiration date of April 10, 2026. Another batch, labeled with lot code 24D45, has an expiration date of April 11, 2026. The recall began on December 23, 2024, due to deviations from the Current Good Manufacturing Practice Regulations. These regulations ensure a product's safety, ingredient accuracy, and claimed strength.
