Chloe, the black fish-mommy-influencer with more than 11k followers on Instagram, has caused a stir. She says she’s been able to successfully potty train her infant, Sequoia, as early as three weeks old. Follow Chloe’s journey on her Instagram account, @infinite.creators. She practices an approach known as Elimination Communication (EC), which helps her read her child’s signals to know when it’s time to potty.
Chloe’s method revolves around observing Sequoia’s behaviors. Through her home observation, Chloe realizes that the baby always pees or poops within five minutes of waking up. This could have caused her to jump into immediate action. “I always potty her right after waking up in the morning or after naps. She always pees or poops within 5 minutes of waking,” Chloe stated.
This accident-free potty training method is not without its rituals. When Chloe and Sequoia do get their time together, it’s usually just 2-3 minutes while they wait for the baby to use the restroom! Chloe observed that after feeding, Sequoia usually requires a walk of five to ten minutes. Chloe tells us that because of these techniques, her family now only has to change two diapers a day. It is a great time to be Tanya.
Chloe expresses enthusiasm for her method, stating, “What if I told you my baby has been potty trained since three weeks old? It’s actually a LOT easier than you think.” She feels that cutting her diaper consumption has deepened her bond with Sequoia.
“I love it not just because we only go through maybe two diapers a day… but because it’s strengthened our bond and deepened my intuitive connection with her,” she explained. Chloe claims that babies have a genius way of expressing what they need. Too often caregivers don’t realize that and mistake it as fussiness.
Her provocative claims have elicited a wide range of responses from her fans and the greater parenting world. Some respond with disbelief about the impracticality of potty training a child so early, others laud her for her out-of-the-box thinking.
