Fisher-Price has announced the recall of its Brunch & Go Stroller Toy. The team remembered this tissue box toy from the 3-in-1 SnugaPuppy Activity Center due to it creating a choking hazard. The recall, which was first posted on April 10, affects almost 253,000 total units sold in the U.S. These units will be sold anywhere from November 2022 through February 2025. It only takes one mistake. Parents should never leave anything to chance when it comes to the safety of their children.
The Bright Startsâ„¢ Brunch & Go Stroller Toy provides on-the-go entertainment with fun activities to amuse babies. Kids will love avocado toast, a shiny tomato mirror, crinkly bacon and a happy egg teether! Questions started to be raised when the media first reported that the egg teether was cracked yolk. This worrisome defect reportedly led to the deaths of two infants due to the presence of small pieces in their mouths. Yet this extremely troubling state of affairs led Fisher-Price to act on a precautionary principle to ensure that young consumers were made safe.
The recall extends to the tissue box toy from the 3-in-1 SnugaPuppy Activity Center as well. This expands the previously announced recall of the Brunch & Go Stroller Toy. It turns out this toy had been flagged for having small parts that may be a choking hazard. One parent found a part of the tissue box toy in her young child’s mouth. This attack is a reminder of just how grave that concern is. To minimize hazards, parents should remove the tissue box from the activity center. Either way, it should be kept well out of the reach of children.
Fisher-Price is doing the right thing by making amends, providing parents a free replacement for any of the hazardous toys. Parents who have these toys can contact Fisher-Price to obtain the replacement and keep their child safe.
The 3-in-1 SnugaPuppy Activity Center, model number HLV78, can be found printed on its bottom side. You can find this product at other large retailers including both stores mentioned, Walmart and Amazon. The decision to recall these toys underscores Fisher-Price’s commitment to child safety and their proactive approach in addressing potential hazards associated with their products.
