Body Language Expert Analyzes Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick’s Awkward Red Carpet Moments

Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick’s recent red carpet appearances during the press tour for their upcoming film “Another Simple Favor” have attracted attention, particularly from body language expert Judi James. She recalled the chemistry between the two co-stars as stilted. Their somewhat stiff appearing demeanors at Tuesday’s events in the Ham Yard Hotel and Corinthia Hotel in London belied the exciting changes happening underneath.

James noted a noticeable lack of warmth in their body language, stating there was “no inward leaning or playful touches or movement” between Lively and Kendrick. Though they’d been working together for months shooting the prequel to 2018’s “A Simple Favor,” their poses just didn’t quite line up. James suggested that the duo’s demeanor could be influenced by the pressure to dispel rumors of a rift between them.

Further supporting this assertion, James was on hand to marvel at how Lively seemed to be glowing while shooting her close-ups. She described Blake as being a true champion on this issue. He just seems to be trying harder to not look like a jerk. This only served to underscore the mismatch between Lively’s personal confidence and the awkward friction seen in their shared events.

At the photocall, Lively couldn’t contain her enthusiasm for joining forces with Kendrick. She announced it was “the best” experience to work alongside her immensely talented co-star. When asked about how she felt about reuniting with Kendrick for the film, Lively blushed adorably. She said, “Oh, you know…” and turned around and left.

James noticed that they were standing close to one another. He observed, “They stood practically nose-to-nose, and their arms over one another’s shoulders felt awkwardly positioned rather than as a hug.” This seemingly innocuous comment reveals a deep seated tension that belies their working relationship.

So even if the whole production feels super cringe at times, both actresses are all in on their commitment to bringing you “Another Simple Favor.” To Landscape… Available from May 1 exclusively on Amazon Prime Video! James remarked that the duo should feel comfortable and enjoy their time together given their shared experience in creating the film.
