Harris has recently signed with Creative Artists Agency (CAA) and has been seen attending Broadway shows like "A Wonderful World" and "Gypsy." Her husband is mentioned as a potential issue by political sources, contributing to the perception of her political challenges. A source familiar with Harris describes her as "the most risk-averse person on the planet," suggesting that this cautious approach might be detrimental to her political image.
A Democratic insider notes that Harris's representation by CAA reflects outdated thinking, particularly when compared to California Governor Gavin Newsom, who has launched a podcast. Despite being repped by a prestigious agency, her bookings have reportedly not surged, indicating a possible disconnect between her star power and public engagement.
"Well, I’m not going to run [for governor] for a year and a half, so I’ll go away," stated a source familiar with Harris's plans.
Some Democratic insiders liken Harris to a "Where's Waldo" figure, suggesting she has vanished from the political stage. This sentiment is echoed by their lingering dissatisfaction from the loss to former President Donald Trump in previous elections. However, others argue that Harris is still engaging with federal and state leaders behind the scenes, without seeking media attention.
