Magical Adventure Balloon Rides in Southern California offers an exclusive experience that takes romance to new heights. Couples can now enjoy a private hot air balloon flight, reaching an altitude of 5,280 feet. This unique trip lasts about an hour and provides a secluded escape, complete with a privacy screen that separates passengers from the pilot.
The privacy screen creates two distinct compartments, allowing couples to indulge in their own space while enjoying breathtaking views. While primarily designed for couples, the company also offers larger baskets accommodating up to 10 people. Prices for this high-flying adventure start at $1,400 for two people, with an additional charge of $159 per extra adult.
Pilot Denni Barrett ensures passengers get the most out of their experience by providing 15-, 10-, and 5-minute warnings before the descent. To maintain privacy and minimize distractions, noise-cancelling headphones are given to passengers, who are encouraged to shout "really loud" if they need assistance.
"We're like the priest in the confessional booth," Denni Barrett explains, emphasizing the discretion and privacy offered.
The experience is described as a "no judgment zone," where couples are free to "do as they please" in their private area. The company encourages joining the "Mile High Club," a term commonly associated with romantic encounters at high altitudes. Barrett candidly shares insights into the adventures couples embark on during these flights.
"If somebody has a fantasy about having outdoor sex, then this would certainly check that box," says Denni Barrett.
"What happens in the basket stays in the basket," he continues, underscoring the confidentiality that accompanies this one-of-a-kind journey.
Participants receive a commemorative certificate and pin to celebrate their adventure. Barrett confirms that many couples indeed take advantage of the opportunity to engage in romantic activities, recounting one particularly memorable instance.
"I don't want to be indelicate, but OK, I'll just be direct: They were [doing it] doggy-style, with the woman over the side of the basket…so she could look out," Denni Barrett recalls.
