Mockingbird has announced the recall of 149,000 Single-to-Double Strollers in the United States following 138 reports of cracks in the stroller frames, posing potential fall risks to children. This recall affects strollers with lot numbers between 20091 and 22602. These numbers can be found on a white product label located on the inner left side of the stroller frame near the top of the basket. While eight incidents reportedly resulted in injuries such as cuts, scratches, and bruising, Mockingbird assures that the issue has been resolved and no current models on the market are affected by this recall.
The affected strollers, known for their versatility, were sold nationwide at Target stores and online through Mockingbird's website, Babylist, Good Buy Gear, and Target from March 2020 to September 2022. These strollers were priced between $395 and $450. The recall is specific to U.S. consumers who own these models.
Families affected by this recall can order a frame reinforcement kit from the Mockingbird website. This kit includes two frame clamps designed to reinforce the sides of the stroller frame. The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) advises discontinuing use of the strollers until the reinforcement kit is received and installed.
Mockingbird encourages those impacted to visit their website for more information or to contact them directly. The company can be reached by phone at 877-274-3240 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. EST, Monday through Friday, or via email at recall@hellomockingbird.com.
